ISO 20000 was the first worldwide standard specifically aimed at the management of the IT services. It was developed in response to the need to establish processes and procedures to minimize business risks due to a technical breakdown of the IT system within organizations. It describes an integrated set of processes that allows efficient IT service delivery to the organizations and their customers. This topic represents major steps towards international recognition and development of ITSM certification in an organization in combination with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.

TNA (Tiesu Namu Aģentūra) is a service organization that develops and maintains the core information technology infrastructure and facilitates the management and planning for the Information Technology on the Republic of Latvia court-wide basis. They have recently implemented ITSM and we have the opportunity to hear a real life story of the ITSM execution.
We live in times of constant change, new ideas and techniques, in a market where disruption is the norm. We need to keep up with new ways of working and remain competitive, yet we also still need to ensure that we can deliver the basics well and with quality assurance. Many practitioners need good basic practical advice on making ITSM work. Many managers and directors need clarity around the ITSM value proposition and how to drive the right behaviors for ITSM.
